This is secretly a barre class lol
I took a barre class immediately before teaching this class, and decided to mirror the structure: we’ll start with arms and shoulders, move on to hamstrings and glutes, and then wrap up with bridge.
Start with a seated neck release.
Then supported fish over a bolster with eagle arms followed by childs pose.
Then slither forward onto your belly for an arms, chest and shoulders mini sequence. Start with a low thread the needle on your belly. Then roll to your side for open wing targeting the same arm. Then roll onto your back for a kind of upside-down thread the needle by swimming your arm up under your back, palm down, back of your hand pressed against between your shoulder blades. Repeat on both sides.
Then sit up for a half butterfly with two parts: half forward fold, half side bend over the extended leg.
Then prone frog and swan.
Wrap up with a supported bridge.
Now that’s what I call yoga!
