A restful pose
Benefits
Shoulders Chest Hips
Entry
From tabletop bring your knees slightly wider and bring your big toes
to touch. Sit back on your heels and bow forward, reaching your hands
and arms toward the front of your mat. Lower your forehead to the
ground.
Options
- Pad your knees with a blanket.
- If you feel this in your knees, lessen the angle by placing a
blanket or bolster over your calves and under your hamstrings as you sit
back.
- If there is too much sensation across the tops of your ankles, fold
or roll a blanket and place it under your ankles so they are
cushioned.
- For less chest and shoulder, and more rest, lay your torso down on a
bolster going longways from knees to head. Rest one cheek on the
bolster, and change halfway through.
Adjustments
- Gently press the hips down and back toward the heels
