We’ll start by playing around with this funny transition: set up a bolster ramp for deer. And then when you come out of it, one leg is already in a quasi-butterfly position. Straighten the other one, shift around a bit, and you’re in a half-straddle. Or half-butterfly. Or half-dragonfly. They’re all actually the same thing. Repeat on the other side.
Do some dragons. You can move quickly through a few variations: flying high, overstepping, flying low, winged.
Saddle. Then roll forward into childs. Then slither forward into sphinx.
Wrap up with shoelace sitting on the tip of a bolster to give you a little bit of lift.
Then savasana.
Whoo-whee! That’s some good hip mobility!
