One of my mentors once said to me that the only reason to teach “fancy” yoga is because you’re bored, or you’re trying to impress somebody. Usually yourself. People just want the classics. That same teacher once taught a class that was just a hundred and one sun salutations.
Anyway, this is just some good old boring yoga. It should feel really good.
We’ll start with butterfly, and then a “half butterfly” knee-to-nose and revolved knee-to-nose.
Then a “belly down” series with melting heart and sphinx.
We’ll do some seated hip work with shoelace.
Then a saddle + deer combo.
Then it’s time to wind things down with Fish and Savasana!
That’s all there is to it.
